The Art of StoryTelling

Creative Storytelling through Fine art & Photojournalism

"There are literally no words to describe Panayis. After meeting with several photographers, he was the ONLY one my husband and I liked, besides the fact that he portfolio is exquisite. His professionalism is unlike any other - prompt with responses, super creative! This helped prepare for the big day, especially if you are unsure of how to 'act' in front of the camera. Panayis has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I have ever met, and I was absolutely honored to have him play such a large role in my wedding. I can't recommend him enough."

You may look at my wedding photography on this website and see that my work is different to “the traditional wedding photographer”, but I sometimes have to explain my thought processes and methods for obtaining the images that I do get for my clients.

In the true sense of the word reportage, i am there to capture the whole story: the emotion; the mishaps; the guests letting loose on the dancefloor… Many of my photographs are taken on the fringes of the wedding; those moments which so many photographers seem to miss or don't look for. Every wedding day is different and these are the pictures which give each one its own identity and character. My skill set is based on our natural ability to capture defining moments and i approach each wedding with the sole intention of telling a 'day in the life' story of the wedding day with genuine, creative, and emotive candid photography.

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”

I’m Panayis, an international creative documentary wedding photographer based in London and specializing in documentary photography, also known as photojournalism.

Before becoming a wedding photographer, I gained years of valuable experience as a photojournalist within several international newspapers (The Guardian, Vice-iD, The eye of Photography) where I photographed a full range of subjects (anti-racism campaign,  worldwide but in the same time many personal projects based in different social issues).

I’ve always had a strong desire to document real life through photography, so I think this is why documentary photography has become my passion. The ability to provide people with a collection of amazing memories is a great gift, and I love being able to hand over a completed collection of images that encompass a truly amazing time in your life.
